MABA’s Federal Judicial Externship & Scholarship Program: Summer 2019

MABA wishes you a very happy 2019! MABA would like to remind its members that the deadline for law students to apply to its Federal Judicial Externship & Scholarship Program is this Friday, January 4, 2019, at 5 PM. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

If you are a Latino/a law student intending to practice in the Los Angeles-area after graduation, consider submitting an application for the externship program. Participating students will:

Spend ten weeks in chambers with a participating Central District of California judge (please see application for all participating judges);
Be provided a comprehensive pre-externship training conducted by former Ninth Circuit Court and CaliforniaDistrict Court clerks;
Be provided with specialized programming over the summer. Two programs include an on-campus interviewing skills workshop and a government, non-profit, and fellowship panel; and
Be awarded a $2,000 scholarship and be recognized at MABA’s Installation Dinner on Saturday, March 9, 2019
