The Mexican American Bar Association (“MABA”) is a professional organization whose mission is to empower the Latino community. Our membership is comprised of law students, attorneys, mediators, judges, and others in the legal community in Los Angeles County. MABA organizes several events to carry out its mission including Community Legal Fairs and visits to Los Angeles County schools.
This year, MABA is excited to announce its third MABA High School Scholarship to support one student beginning college in the Fall of 2017 with his or her college-related expenses. Only students who attend schools that participated in MABA’s Student Outreach Program in the 2016-2017 school year are eligible to apply. In awarding the Scholarship, MABA will consider each applicant’s financial need, community service, leadership experience, and any hardship experienced in pursing an education. Because MABA is firmly committed to the empowerment of the Latino community, all students, regardless of immigration status, are eligible to apply. MABA will award, at least, one student with a $1,000 Scholarship.
